Overview
The FPA CPD Assessor Program walks you through the requirements of the new 2009 CPD Policy and shows you how to assign points using the new accreditation process and supporting guidelines.
To fulfil the role of FPA CPD Assessor and accredit your organisation's internal CPD activities It is a pre-requisite that you are a nominated representative of a licensee member of the FPA and you successfully complete this program
However, the aim of this program is not only to provide you with the ability to accredit internal CPD activities, but also to raise awareness of the importance for a renewed focus on professional development and its impact on raising the levels of professionalism in your business and the broader industry.
Objectives
On completing the program you will be able to:
- identify the key drivers behind the new CPD Policy
- define 'continuing professional development'
- identify the six new professional dimensions and explain their meaning
- explain the FPA's preferred professional development plan process
- clarify the FPA CPD requirements
- explain the purpose of the accreditation guidelines
- clarify the role and responsibilities of being an FPA CPD Assessor
- distinguish the three ways content can be assessed
- identify the key elements to the new quality assessment criteria
- measure the new quality assessment criteria against an example activity
- describe the record keeping and audit requirements under the new CPD Policy
Duration
The program takes approximately 2 hours to complete. You have 3 months from registering to complete the program
Assessment
To demonstrate your understanding of requirements, you will need to complete a quiz at the end of the program. The assessment is made up of 20 questions and you have 25 minutes to complete. You will need to score at least 80% to pass the assessment. You can attempt the quiz as many times as you may need to.
Upon successful completion, you will be emailed your certificate & unique Assessor number.
